GROUTING COMPOUNDS FOR JOINTS FROM 0 UP TO 5 MM WIDTH
• Grouting of joints between ceramic floor and wall tiles of all types and sizes, both indoors and outdoors
• By adding CEMLATEX GIUNTI, the product is recommended for grouting joints in: systems subject to slight dimensional variations, heated floors, tiled areas subject to adverse environmental conditions, such as swimming pools, cold rooms, terraces, and surfaces with a high degree of exposure to water, flooring in areas subject to intense traffic, such as supermarkets, motorway service stations, shopping centres, and public premises in general, old flooring with deteriorated joints. Special grout for ceramic floor and wall coverings composed of cement, aggregates with a choice of granulometry and additives. It was designed to harden rapidly with minimum shrinkage to provide elevated mechanical resistance united with an attractive aesthetic appearance. For the filling of joints from 0 to 5 millimeters in width. Available in 20 colors. For interiors and exteriors.
For perfect grouting of joints, the mortar used for fixing the tiles must be sufficiently dry to prevent any residual humidity from evaporating and creating unevenness in the colour of the grouting compound. If a specific cement-based adhesive has been used, grouting can be carried out after just 24 hours for wall tiling and 1-2 days for floor tiling. If the substrate is already completely dry, when working with absorbent tiles, especially in high temperatures, it is advisable to moisten the joints to be filled, slightly and evenly. The joints must also be free from dust or other materials that may adversely affect adhesion. If it is considered essential to fix twice-fired wall tiles in contact with each other (i.e. without any joint at all), it is vital to clean the grouting compound with a damp sponge and moisten it again with the same system and more water the following day. If this precaution is not taken, PRIMAFUGA 0/5 may fail to harden sufficiently, because by the time that the cement starts to set (after about 4 hours), much of the water in the mix will have been absorbed by the tiles.
